TXU Energy support:

TXU Energy can trace its roots back to 1882, when the Dallas Electric Lighting Company – its predecessor – first brought electricity to North Texas. In 2002, TXU Energy – part of the wider TXU Corp – became the state’s leading electricity provider. After being acquired by Energy Future Holdings in 2007, TXU Corp’s Power brand was rebranded Luminant, while Electric Delivery became Oncor. TXU Energy, however, retained its name. Today it delivers electricity to 1.7 million customers – including 25% of the residents and 17% of businesses in ERCOT, a huge electric grid that covers most of Texas.
